A Perspective on North American and Mexican Affairs

This blog aims to shed light, from a different and somewhat local perspective, on Mexico’s economic and policy ties with North America. Offering analysis on trade, investment, and regional growth. Bringing attention to overlooked yet significant aspects that might have shaped our integration and region's viability in the age of Homo Interneticus—a time where digital interconnectivity redefines our understanding of trade, policy, and economic integration.

I studied economics at the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM) and development economics at the Harvard Kennedy School (HKS). I've spent most of my career in public administration, looking at government, fiscal, monetary, and trade affairs.

I'm an economic analyst and also a public policy consultant, working on a separate consulting venture with my best friend from HKS, Montserrat. I’m passionate about music, hiking, and all things related to government and public policy—especially when it comes to Mexico’s role in North America.
